Positioned on the edge of a cliff, Acra-Retreat is situated on the border of the malaria-free Elands Krans Nature Reserve. It is a good stopover point between Johannesburg and the Kruger National Park. It features a seasonal outdoor pool and a childrens pool and barbecue facilities.
Horse riding, mountain climbing, abseiling and spa treatments can be arranged at the reception. The area abounds in birdlife, including species like owls, swallows and guinea fowls.
All rooms offer a private entrance to the decks with mountains views. Each room is fitted with a flat-screen TV and satellite channels. Teacoffee facilities, a safe, and fan are standard.
Acra-Retreat Mountain View Lodge has a fully licensed pub. Sundowners can also be enjoyed on the deck, and dinners are served on request.
The hotel is located on the way to the Kruger Park, 2.5 hour’s drive from Johannesburg. Free secure and private parking is possible on site.

Family Double or Twin Room with Shared Bathroom. This room features a private entrance and views of the garden and pool area. The rooms are furnished with a Double-Bed. Both rooms include a flat-screen TV but one room (Gecko Room) has already OVHD-TV and the other room (Elephant Room) only has limited local channels, tea-and-coffee-making facilities and a fan. There is also a safe and a hairdryer. The bathroom is shared with the other room. Please note that the price is based on single or double occupancy. However the maximum occupancy is 3 guests. Luxury Suite. This spacious suite features a private entrance and a balcony with panoramic views of the mountains. It includes a lounge with a flat-screen with satellite channels (OVHD-TV) and tea-and-coffee-making facilities. There is a ceiling fan over the King-Size-Bed and a safe, hairdryer and foot massager are provided. Each includes a large private bathroom with twin basins and a separate bath and shower. Cottage. This chalet has a fully equipped kitchen, a dining area and TV room with satellite channels (OVHD-TV). The master bedroom offers a comfortable double bed, while the guest room has 2 single beds. The modern bathroom features a large shower and free toiletries, a hairdryer and pool towels are provided. Superior Queen Room with Mountain View. Featuring a private deck offering views of the natural surroundings and he mountains beyond. Superior King or Twin Room with Mountain View. This room is on the upper level and offers views of the mountains. It has access to the main deck, which can be roped off for private access. The room has a King-size bed and a ¾ bed can beup in the room too. The en suite bathroom has a shower-over-bath combo, and toiletries, a hairdryer and pool towels are provided. The room features 2 ceiling fans above the King-Size-Bed, a heater and a TV with satellite channels (OVHD-TV). Tea-and-coffee-making facilities are provided.
